The brief: Creating a identity crest for a football union.
The context: In June 2013, London based branding experts of Designroom Sport requested my assisting hand for the development of a new identity icon for the Caribbean Football Union. The CFU is the governing body of football associations and federations in the Caribbean, compromising 31 member countries, 25 of them are FIFA member nations.
What I did: Starting point in the design was a shield as basis form, containing the football, held by two hands. Main goal was to embody the values of the union – purposes like passion, performance and pride in its 31 members, which are represented by the stars surrounding the icon.
