My brief: Modernization / redrawing of a Swiss brand key visual.
The context: For some years, a rather french looking “master-cheesemaker” brand icon was used on a variety of products by the popular Swiss camembert brand BAER. The owner, the Lactalis Group, decided that it was about time for a modernization. German brand strategist IFP, responsable for the whole relaunch and new packaging design, were commissioned with a total brand makover.
What I did: My challenge was to create a stronger cheese master with a more open and positive appearance while giving him a bit more “cheese competence” and add a certain degree of swiss originality.
